Marcel Herter is the Founder and Senior Managing Director of Herter & Co. – Teneo Capital Advisory. With more than 30 years of experience in financing and capital markets, he is recognized as one of the leading experts in debt advisory and financial restructuring in Germany. Before founding Herter & Co. in 2012, Marcel served as Head of Debt Advisory & Financial Restructuring Germany at Lazard and as Head of Leveraged Finance at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein. His career began at Dresdner Bank AG, where he initially worked in the credit department before moving into leveraged finance. Since 2012, the advisory firm founded by him, Herter & Co. (now part of Teneo – The Global CEO Advisory Firm), has been advising corporations, financial investors, and banks on complex financing and restructuring matters and has grown to become one of the market leaders in the field of debt advisory and financial restructuring.
