Dr. Christian Schmitt has been a lawyer with GL Gerloff Liebler Rechtsanwälte since 2006. Since then he is focusing on insolvency proceedings and corporate restructuring. His latest activities involved acting as (General-) Representative or Lawyer in various self-administration proceedings, such as Rüster GmbH (2022/23), Adler Modemärkte AG (2021), Arlington Germany GmbH (2020/21), GERRY WEBER International AG (2019/20), K&L GmbH & Co. Handels KG (2018/19), Rudolf Wöhrl AG (2016/17), etc. Christian became a member with TMA Germany in 2020. He currently serves as Co-Chair with TMA Europe´s Conferences & Sponsorships Committee. Christan also is regularily invited as speaker at professional conventions and for continuing legal education programs. Christian wrote several publications in insolvency law, civil law and transnational corporate law since 2002. He has been teaching as an honorary lecturer at the University of Augsburg since 2004.
